Dr Jodi Richardson was a life assistant client of Organise.Curate.Design. in 2018. We spoke to Jodi recently to check back in and were pleased to find that the systems we helped her put in place are still working and assisting her busy life, remain calm and collected.
As an Anxiety and Wellbeing Speaker and Educator, Jodi was struggling to manage her appointments, bookings, and family organisation systems. She came to us, knowing the best option was to have everything in one place but “the thought of amalgamating everything felt overwhelming” explains Jodi.
Jodi explained that “Before finding OCD I had appointments, important events and work-related bookings in different places. I had a family calendar on the fridge at home to manage everything for our family of four, I had a diary that went everywhere with me to manage work-related appointments at home and on the go, as well as a yearly planner on the wall in my home office where my presentations, workshops and professional development were scheduled. I needed to consult each before booking anything in”.
We were delighted to work with Jodi and quickly got started in streamlining her life admin, to help her stay on track and organised. Jodi explained that “Even an initial conversation with Caroline reduced my stress! Just knowing help was imminent meant I wasn’t constantly trying to figure out a way to keep the family and work wheels turning while addressing this ongoing organisational challenge!”
“Caroline spent time talking to me about current work/home life challenges, a process that enabled me to get it all out of my head and down on paper. After we agreed that the organisation of appointments was my primary concern, Caroline got stuck straight into setting up an online calendar for me and collecting everything she needed to transfer information from my current calendars into one place. It was a game-changer! Having an online calendar colour coded for work and family is something I use every single day. I’m so thankful to Caroline for helping me get organised in this way.”
While Jodi’s life is busier than it was in 2018, she is handling her work load better due to Organise.Curate.Design.’s assistance. She “continue[s] to use [her] online calendar and schedule absolutely everything! Exercise, work, phone calls, family appointments and social events (well, back when we could actually socialise, pre-COVID, [she] did!). The area of [her] life that has changed the most is with work, [she’s] busier than [she’s] ever been given [her] work as an Anxiety and Wellbeing Speaker and Author.”
Organise.Curate.Design. was not developed to be an ongoing personal assistant for our clients. The aim of our relationships with our clients is to provide tools and skills that will help to sustain a structured life/business. We were so pleased when Jodi explained that thanks to our assistance, she was able to grow her business and maintain integrity and professionalism throughout as a result of her ability to plan and organise her time.
